Picture prompt for a short story - #2

I've been told that people like the picture prompt for a short story, although we did not have that many in the swap -- perhaps others will be drawn to a less macabre picture.

Look at the above picture, and write a short story that it suggests to you. Should not be a super short story, a couple pages at least, and as long as it needs to be. The genre that fits the story and your writing style.

You will have two partners, the swap will be international -- it's only postage. I'll check ratings and ban no-sends and other questionable swappers. You'll have three weeks to write it and send it.
