I'm hosting a series of ATC swaps for each of the 12 Olympian Gods of Greek/Roman mythology. The eleventh (almost there!) is the God of the Forge: Hephaestus/Vulcan. Here's his wikipedia page: link He's also the god of fire, metal, and craftsmen. You will make 1 card for 1 partner featuring Hephaestus. All media are welcome, but do a good job here! No just slapping a sticker on cardstock or gluing a button to a computer printout of some clip-art, and NO DISNEY. Spend time on it and make something you would be proud to send and delighted to receive. I want the people who do the whole series to have a full set of 12 cards at the end of it, so the requirements will be fairly strict. 4.9 rating, with at least 10 completed snailmail swaps. Sorry, no newbies for this one. If you don't meet the requirements now, contact me. I usually hold private backup swaps for those who don't meet the requirements or miss the signup time, so PM me if you're interested. Also, if you haven't been participating in the series so far or if you've missed one, feel free to join in now! At the end of the series (the Olympians anyway, I plan to continue into other gods and heros) I'll have a catchup swap. Hephaestus is said to be ugly and lame having been thrown down from Olympus by Hera upon being born. He was married to Aphrodite who had an affair with Ares. He made the shields and/or weapons and/or armour of many of the mythological heroes. |
