1 handmade, naked postcard to 1 partner. Create a postcard featuring a band logo. I remember in middle school, finding those stylized band logos scribbled on desks and notebooks - the more popular ones at my school where AC/DC and Metallica as I recall. Most bands have a special font logo - please use an existing band / logo and not a made up one for this swap. Draw (or cut, paste, stitch, etc ...) your most kickin' version of a band logo on the front of your postcard, then write on the back why you love the band, (or loved them, or maybe hate them as the case may be) your faves song(s) by that band and maybe a memory you have related to the band or song.

Are you allowed to copy an album cover??? It would have the font used by the band in the name???

Oh for sure @WentworthX. As long as it's a handmade card, you can definitely mimic an album cover image. Go nuts!

Oh thank goodness - I didn't read the swap properly and just took into my head it was an album cover. Made one already :)

I'm not going to say no to using a photo. My hope for this swap is just to have a little creative fun with the subject, so if the end result of the photo postcard you create makes you smile, it's fine. I'm not using a photo personally, but if I did, I'd make a fun photo collage with a cool boarder or something - just to put my creative touch on it :)

I think that the handmade postcard is a great idea for promoting your band. Because it has an artistic touch and unique design that makes people remember it more easily than other promotional materials like flyers or posters. It's also fun and easy to make yourself.
