Procrastinators unite!

How many times have you said, “I’ll do it when I get a round tuit”? Think of all the projects you could have finished if only you had that ever so elusive but essential item. Now I know they are very rare, especially the round ones, but if we put our best efforts into it I’m sure, perhaps with a little alchemy, we can create a few of these elusive creatures and have a few extra to trade.

This can be made of any medium, paper, fabric, metal, knit or crochet, or anything else you can think of. They don’t need to be very big, a big one might be too much power for one person to handle. Small enough to fit in your pocket or hang on a chain would be best. Use your imagination and let’s have fun with this one.

If your think 3 partners are too many let me know and I’ll change it, may change it if not many people sign up anyway. I just have so many ideas for this one I want to try them all. If you have any other suggestions please send them to me. This is the first swap I have created so please be kind.

Newbies welcome, I was one myself just a short time ago.

Wonderful idea, I can't wait to get 'em started, thanks

My daddy was a Tool and Die maker, and he used to stamp little nickel sized discs TUIT and carry them around with him, just WAITING for someone to say the dreaded phrase....

He also used to stamp his initials into pennies (TC) and drop them where ever he went, just hoping one would find it's way back to him one day. It drove us NUTS hearing those coins dropping behind us outside restaurants, in parking lots, etc.

Cute idea, I am watching this one too 8)

Bramblebelle I think I would love your dad, he sounds like too much fun. Funny though, my dad was a tool and die maker too.

We use to write things on dollar bills to see if they ever got back to use. Did he ever get one of the pennies back?

I remember making these when I was a kid...I thought it was the best thing in the world then and it's a great idea now!

I'm so sorry but i'm going to have to drop from this...........:-( A very possible house move is on the horizon.

Bramblebelle 03/ 5/2010 #

No, he never did get any pennies back, even though they were dropped for years, and in various parts of the country. I still check pennies, probably for the rest of my life 8)

Bramblebelle, that is such a cute story! Your dad sounds great!

OnceInABlueMoon 03/ 5/2010 #

I think it's funny that there are 29 watchers but only 5 have gotten "round tuit" to actually join!

FeeBeeDee 03/ 5/2010 #

That's a really great story, Bramblebelle. One of the better ways for a parent to drive kids crazy, I'd say! :o)

I love OnceInABlueMoon's comment too, so much so that I've just joined my first swap, this one!

Thanks everyone for making my first idea for a swap come to life. It's been lots of fun and I've loved seeing such wonderfully creative ideas.
