I dont know about you, but every thrift store, specialty store, garage sale, or swap meet I go to, im drawn to little treasures that vendors sell. Some examples of these things are pretty or strange necklace pendents, trinkets, very old game pieces, lockets, odd coins, keys, those "good luck" metal charms with a word pressed into it, super tiny perfume bottles or jars, teeny tiny carved items, interesting "stones", foreign items, talismans, etc... I would like to get some of my finds circulating around with your finds if you dont mind :] For this swap you will have two partners, and you will send them each one little treasure that sparked your attention somewhere enough that you decided you had to have it! The treasures im describing are all small, so ill say that the limit on the size is 3 inches. Dont send something bigger than that. The treasure that you will get back may be tiny, so please do not judge it based on size. No packages nessicary, you can send your items in envelopes or a small bubble mailer. This is a very simple swap. The only thing I ask is that if you join, please do not go to michaels and buy a pack of charms and send one to your partner. The point is to send and receive something tiny, strange and unique (and even possibly vintage or hand made). Have fun with this! And in your note to your partner, maybe write a little about the item, ex where you found or bought it. Also, maybe put your item in a little bag, folded in piece of cloth or paper, or put it in a little tin or box or something, make it presentable it adds the the coolness of the treasure. :] 4.9+ newbies welcome if you have a full profile and have been on here for more than a month. I will remove sketchy looking people, and leave in the ones who i think will send. |
