Description:

This is a serious swap for serious swappers; it is a "high expectations" swap. It could also be known as "For Those Who Chose to Do More."

I know I've been long winded here, but please read the entire swap before sending questions, I think I answered everything. If I've not, please message me below.

I am a hopeful person. Whenever I join a swap, I always have hope that my partners are going to give as much as I do.

Have you ever had this happen to you? You really go above and beyond in a swap and when you get your envelope, you're so excited, can't wait to get into it, tear it open and ....wah wah wah, disappointment? You wonder if your partner even bothered to catch your name, let a lone read your profile.

Well...with that in mind, I propose the following swap.

You will swap 2 ATC's with 2 partners (for a total of 4 ATC's). The theme is this: Read your partner's profile and create the ATC's accordingly. If you don't have a profile filled out on this site...fill it out or you will be dropped. Please don't make generic ATC's before your partners are assigned. There are 3 weeks between sign-up and swap. This is sufficient time to read your partner's profile and create accordingly.

IN ADDITION: You must include treats for your partner, again try to relate them to their profile.

Choose a minimum of 2 items from this list. Minimum, but you can choose to do more.

  1. 10 pieces of lovely ephemera

  2. 5 lovely buttons

  3. 5 lovely charms

  4. 5 of your favorite quotes, handwritten, typed, stamped

  5. 5 postage stamps, canceled or not. NOT from the USA or the receivers country

  6. 5 unusual clips, paper or clips that attach something to something, not brads

  7. 2 yards of lovely ribbon

  8. 5 unusual ATC blanks, not just plain paper (maybe you have some cut from vintage-y paper or something cool from a box you salvaged.

  9. 5 tags, strung or unstrung

  10. Sheet of return address labels, again relate these to your partners profile. If the love socks, print them with a picture of socks. ~PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, don't send me any socks~;-)

  11. 2 tea bags. Remember what's commonplace to you could be exotic to someone else.

  12. Blank journal

If you would like something that is not on the list, please list it below as a substitute or, conversely, if there is something on the list that you despise, let us know.

I hope this doesn't sound too cranky. Sometimes it seems to me that people swap just to swap without taking the time to make it special for their partners. I've been guilty of it, too, but it's time for a change!

Fine Print: This is an international swap, please no postage whiners. It is understood that everyone will spend on postage and I've made the requirements 2 ATC's to make it worthwhile. Newbies...ah, newbies, we love ‘em here. This is a great opportunity for you to have and give a great swap experience. Fill out your profile, make your partners happy, and get some stars!

I too am not a tea drinker, or coffee for that matter. I love anything to do with animals. I would love to have a real puppy, lol. Can't wait to start on this parcel for my partners! It will be so much fun to put together. I love to personalize things!

Thank you so much for opening this to newbies! I want to prove that I'm a good swapper, but sometimes it's hard to prove it with the small swaps that newbies are allowed to join :p

I'm really looking forward to this! I can't wait for partners to be assigned ^_^
