Description: | |
This is the monthly technique swap for the Scrapbooking Society (www.scrapbooksociety.com). The August 2006 kit technique is faux batik using the new Castaway ink pad made by Jacquard (http://jacquard.tempdomainname.com/products/Castaway/). To qualify for this swap, you must have this ink pad to use on your tags. Each participant will be assigned 4 swap partners. As a participant, you will make two 3.5" x 5.5" tags (top may be shaped any way you would like) for each of your partners. Each tag doesn't need to be unique but the two tags for each partner should be unique (i.e. four tags of two designs). The tag can be made from cardstock or watercolor paper and must be stamped with the Castaway ink to create a batik finish. You may design the tag with any colors but please do not embellish further (only exception would be fibers or ribbons for the top). This will allow the recipient to embellish it for their specific project. Participants are creating a multi-colored patterned paper tag that can be used in a scrapbook or other art project. |
