I was doing a postcard swap and since I live in the San Francisco area naturally I was grabbing a few postcards that have the Golden Gate Bridge on them. (Go figure right!) So I came across one that had a bunch of facts about the bridge on it and my son thought that was so cool! I thought since it is summer time and lots of our kids just laze around and don't learn much this might be a neat way to teach kids about the world around them. So the idea of this swap is to look around either where you live or where you are vacationing this summer and find an educational postcard. You know like facts about the Grand Canyon or Mount Rushmore etc. Fun for the kids and you and we can all learn some new facts about the world we live in. I found out that there were lots of things I didn't know about a bridge I drive over, walk over and see just about every day!! Have fun with this even though it is educational! Since postcard stamps are inexpensive we will have 8 partners and I will make it international. Newbies welcome with completed profile. No "no sends" in the last 3 months and no one with a rating of less that 4.5

It is international and I started because of my son but you don't have to have kids to participate. Just keep it G rated please. Yes this is for store bought postcards. I guess I should have stated that sorry!!

Good idea for educational postcards. It would be interesting to write some text motivating for learning on the back. We were given similar postcards at the employment service with recommendations of services that would be useful when looking for a job. On one of these postcards, I found a service where I can buy a recommendation letter It was very useful for me before one of the most important job interviews in my life. Everything went well.
