Description:

Zentangles are all the rage right now, and I've seen lots of variations on them. Let's do a Christian one!

Create 3 zentangle ATCs that incorporate some symbol of Christianity, then send one to each of your partners.

The cross is probably the first Christian symbol to come to mind, but there are many others. Consider the IXOYE fish, chalice and host, lamb, anchor, star of Bethlehem, Chi Rho, Holy Spirit as flame, Holy Spirit as dove, praying hands, Alpha and Omega, and so on.

Most zentangles are black ink on a white background; you may stick to that convention or not, as you wish. If you do adventure out from black and white, however, please use a maximum of three colors in your zentangles (that would be one color for the paper and at most two ink colors).

ATCs should be standard size: 2.5 by 3.5 inches. Paper should be rigid cardstock or watercolor paper or other thick paper; if zentangles are done on thinner paper, please mount them or something stiffer before mailing. Don't forget to include the pertinent information (title of work, medium, name of artist, date, etc.) on the back of each atc.

Each card should be encased in a plastic trading card sleeve and mailed in an envelope with a piece of cardboard or other material to protect the atc from damage in transit.

Do your best work, and send only atcs that you are proud of. Aspire to zentangles comparable in quality to those on the first page of the link below. Remember, these are symbols of our faith, so let's go all out in effort!

A rating average of at least 4.5 is required to participate. Newbies are welcome as long as you have a fabulously filled out profile and pm me before the sign-up deadline with a promise that you will not flake. I reserve the right to ban anyone for any reason -- but I won't use that power recklessly. If you look "suspicious," have a rating lower than 4.5, or have a checkered past but have turned over a new leaf and still want to join this swap, tell me about it in a pm and we'll talk -- but it is your responsibility to contact me, as I won't be running around trying to track you down. Timely communication is key!

Don't forget to rate your partners when you receive your items.

This swap sounds like a wonderful way to combine artistic creativity with expressions of faith! The idea of creating zentangle ATCs with Christian symbols is such a unique twist, and I love how it invites participants to explore different elements of their spirituality through art. Plus, the emphasis on quality and care in both the design and packaging shows how much respect there is for this craft and its meaning. It’s also great that the swap is open to international participants, allowing people from different backgrounds to share their interpretations and connect over shared beliefs. Looking forward to seeing the beautiful creations that come out of this! Make a Calendar
