Description:

When I was younger, I had a long distance relationship with a boy. We kept in touch through letters and phone calls. I was always trying to find ways to send him something creative, be it drawings, homemade postcards, collages, etc.

One set of mailings he -really- liked were a postcard puzzle. I created a collage on a 14 x 15 inch piece of thick cardstock and cut it up into 5 x 7 inch postcards after finishing the collage, mailing each postcard every couple of days. I wrote song lyrics on the back of each one. Once he recieved all the pieces, he could put it together. He said it was awesome because he didn't know what the whole picture would look like until he recieved every piece.

This swap is to create a 14 x 15 inch collage on heavy paper (think cardstock, poster board, manilla folders work too!), cut it up into 5 x 7 inch postcards (six total!) after you've finished your collage, and mail them to your partner one at a time. Once a day, every couple days, whatever. I put a week in between the end sign up date and start sending date so swappers can tailor their collages to their partners interests, if they would like.

One side of each postcard will be part of your collage, and on the other the address of your partner as well as a space where you can write notes, lyrics, poems, or absolutely nothing on them if you wish. If you would like your swap partner to use them for someone else, you can send them in envelopes.

Last sign up date is August 31st.

Send your first postcard puzzle piece by September 7th, 2006.

Have all your postcard puzzle pieces mailed by September 30, 2006.

Any questions? Please ask! (And I will remove you from the swap list if you have constant ratings of "Never Rec'd" No fun!)
