Description:

Owing to interest from you lovely folk across the Tasman I am extending the Kiwis Come On Swap to ANZACs. This doesn't mean I am going to swap my late grandfathers who were war heroes, but just a regular size envelope of some things, flat and nice, to brighten that trip to the mail box. (Cost for us in NZ is $1.80.)

It is senders choice of more than one thing and only a week to get it together.

Some possible items include:

Postcards, hint, I am partial to Hanging Rock or any of the other rock formations around Victoria.

Strips of lace and ribbon

Blank note cards and stickers

Fabric samples of at least 4 inches square

Fancy papers

Mix and match as the whim takes you.

Thanks for creating this swap, and that sucks about your late grandheroes. Not fitting into a regular size envelope, I mean. :/ Well, I remembered to think of some ideas even though yours are all good ones:

  • Letter sets [1 set = 2 papers + 1 matching env.]
  • Mini mail kit [eg, envelopes, Air Mail stickers, address labels, kraft paper swinging tags...]
  • An assortment of images sourced from magazines and calendars for people to collage with. [Cut neatly so they're usable, not a papery mess!]
  • Just thought I'd make an extra bid for stickers ;)
  • Handmade swap-bot ID cards (like calling cards) for your partner with room for them to write the swap name and sign it

Having been dead for some years possibly their remains would fit in a small envelope. Of course being buried with their wives would add complications, although Grandma would be very pleased to be going home at last.

Putting my idiocy aside, thank you for the extra suggestions, most appreciated.

I can't wait to fill up an envelope.

Also, maybe...

  • Stamps
  • Stickers ;)
  • Small lollies, individually wrapped (I know I'll be sending a couple)
  • An interesting news article from a local paper

Just Ideas :)
