We all know it can be frustrating to make cards for guys. After all, the vast majority of us are girls and even when our cards aren't super girlie, they often aren't appropriate for guys either. So let's stretch our creative muscles and make up some cards for the men or teen boys in our lives. (No cards for young kids-under 13-please.) You will make two cards for one partner for a total of two cards. Please make these appropriate for any male. Just because your guy can handle flowers, doesn't mean a guy in your partner's life will. There are exceptions of course (like Hawaiian shirt style flowers) but use good judgement. No bling, most ribbon is out, think about hardware, wood buttons, twill tape instead of ribbon and bold, rich colours. You can use almost any layout you woul use for a girly card so look at one of your faves and just substitute guy stuff for each element. Want to join but need ideas? I'd be happy to provide some from my blog and those of my favourite bloggers. Email me! Please check your partner's profile first and avoid anything she/he doesn't like (someone who lost their dad might have a hard time with a father's day card and I personally do not celebrate birthdays or father's day so those wouldn't be appropriate). Other than that, it is sender's choice. Please have a 4.9+ rating to join and no 1's EVER or 3's in the last 6 months. I will accept explanations of course, PM me. Newbies are welcome with WELL FILLED out profiles and MUST PM me at least 3 days before the end of the swap to show good intentions. If you see a flaker has joined, don't worry, I will weed them out though there shouldn't be any on here. |
