Picture prompt for a short story - #3

It's been a while since the last picture prompt for a short story. Here's an outdoors, summery kind of photo to inspire a story. You will write a short story, at least two pages long -- can be as much longer as it needs to be. It should be typed or written legibly and spelled and punctuated correctly.

The story is "inspired by" the picture, so you don't have to have the people who are in the picture as characters, although you can if they suggest a story to you. The scenery should be part of the story.

Very simple: two weeks to sign up, a little over two weeks to write and send the story, two partners. International because this is a group swap and it will require postage for only a letter. You must have no no-sends, and have completed five or more swaps.

Ready, set, go. I will cancel the swap if fewer than five people have signed up a couple of days before the sign-up date, so if you are going to put it on a watch list remember to join by then.
