I love swaps that include sending (& receiving) a little bit of everything, so this is a CRAFTY-SCAVENGER-HUNT sort of swap! Here's a list of what to send. I tried to list many different items so we can all receive a variety. If anyone has other ideas for a letter, leave it in the comments section and I'll consider adding it. You don't have to send more than 1 item from each letter, unless its small like brads, buttons, chipboard, die cuts, etc. For ribbon or lace, 12" or longer. A - adhesive (not a glue stick) OR alphabet sticker sheet OR address labels sheet (personalized for your partner) OR altered card/box/tin/journal B - box template OR buttons (10+) OR bookmark (made or bought, but not a free one) OR beads (25 or more, all different or different but coordinating) C - chipboard (8 pieces) OR card stock sticker sheet OR container for supplies/pens, etc. D - deco tape OR die cuts (10) OR decorated journal/notebook E - embossing powder OR ephemera (at least 10 pieces) OR envelope template OR an Etsy Favorite (your partner's) F - felt embellishments (5 or more) OR fabric (fat quarter, noodle or several scraps) OR foreign book pages (2 or more) OR something profile-related that begins with the letter "F" - use your imagination! G - glitter ("bling") OR glue gun sticks (3 or more) OR Gelly Roll pen H - handmade envelopes (2 or more) OR hand-stamped card, ATC OR handmade item I - ink pad OR something with your partner's initial on it OR inchie supplies (blank inchies & small items to embellish them) J - journaling prompts (12 or more, neatly written or typed) OR a blank journal OR a jar for whimsy (empty) K - kit - to make a card or something OR Kawaii item OR "kitschy" item ($5 or less) L - lace OR letter paper - 5 sheets, matching or random M - metal embellishments (5) OR map (ephemera) OR mail art supplies (envies, paper pieces, stamps, etc.) N - new postcards (2 or more, can be vintage if your partner likes them) OR new (un-opened) craft tool OR notebook for keeping track of swaps O - origami paper (5 pieces or more) OR original craft item, made by you P - pen (Sharpie, any color) OR profile-based surprise OR personalized swap cards (at least 10) Q - quotes OR questions for journaling (10 or more, creatively written or typed) OR quilling paper OR quilling tool R - rub-ons (10) OR rubber stamp (mounted or not) OR ribbon OR ric-rac S - stationery set (4 sheets + envies) OR stamps (unused postage if within the same country) OR stencils (1 larger or 3 smaller) T - tin (an empty one for altering) OR tags (at least 4) OR textured paper (5 sheets, at least 4x6" each) U - unique embellishments (5 or more, not stickers) OR used stamps (10) V - vintage item OR vintage-looking item (can be a new item that's altered or "aged" in some way) W - wax seals (sealing wax) OR small whimsy jar (with whimsy!) OR white gel/paint pen X - x-tra item from your partner's profile or wish list, not listed here Y - your favorite craft item OR tool (less than $5) Z - zentangle (4"x4" min.) OR magaZine (a new or vintage) OR a mini-zine (handmade) OR something from a magazine, related to your partner's profile. This could be a craft how-to that they would want to try, a template, an article about one of their interests, or even some vintage pages for collage, etc. DON'T FORGET to include a list of what letter each item represents, as well as your name, Swap-bot name & the name of the swap. You'll have 4 weeks to put this swap together. PLEASE READ you partner's profile & DON'T send anything they specifically don't like or want. I want this to be a fun, creative & fabulous swap, so send items in new condition (unless vintage) that you think your partner would love to receive! It doesn't have to cost a lot of money, but do put some effort into it. You don't have to put everything into one container like a "lucky parcel", but BE CREATIVE when packing it for sending. For example, you can put items inside of the "J" jar or "T" tin to save space. If you're sending "F" fabric, wrap it around another item, and you can put all flat items within the pages of "J" journal or "Z" zine. This is an international swap, but I'm also hosting a USA-only version for swappers who don't want to spend as much in postage. Since this swap will require some time & creativity, you MUST have:
I will check all participants again before assigning partners and reserve the right to ban any questionable swappers. Please PM me with any questions. If your partner sends an item from every letter on the list and the required info and has made an obvious effort, please give them a "5", even if you don't love everything they sent. (This does not mean you can send anything you want that's not on the list.) As long as it appears they FOLLOWED & paid attention to your profile, and didn't send junk, they deserve a 5! I'm looking forward to sending & receiving this swap :) Have fun!!! |
