Description:

I sure hope this is an original idea so I can give credit to myself. ;)

For this swap you will find one 'well known' or famous artist. Then, you will choose one piece of his artwork that you love.

Now you will make your very own intepretation of that work of art into your own.

Using ANY medium you would like. Paint, crayons, colored pencils, collage work......just for examples. The picture that you will create can be as close as you can get to the original or simply your own piece of art taken from the original.

For instance, take the Mona Lisa and make her all blingy if that floats your boat.

I'd like this to be a fun swap with alot of creativity to challenge you. A picture worthy of hanging in your partners craft room would be great.

I am giving a load of time for you to get working on this project. I know there are some of 'us' that will be Googling artist for a while deciding on what print to use.

If you cannot rise to this challenge, don't be quick to hit the join button.

You can start right away since this is not profile specific.

Along with your master-piece you MUST include a picture of the ORIGINAL piece of art.

So here's the low down;

find a famous artist

make a reproduction of his work using your medium of choice

nothing smaller than 5 x 7

MUST include example (picture) of the original art

That's it.

How fun is that?

Let's get started. Due to the huge amount of time you have for this swap, I hope nobody will tolerate any excuse for sending late.

Open to all Crafting Queens members. I will be profile checking cuz I just love that part so much. ;)

Have a blast!

I've been floating this sort of idea around the back of my head so I'm glad to see a swap for it!

I hope you'll be doing this one again - I won't be able to join right now.

I am sorry for not marking sent sooner, as I have been having issues with extreme lag trying to access firefox to even get to this site. Thank you!
