Description: | |
We all have them...bits and pieces that we are attracted to like magpies, but just haven't fit into a project yet. And, to me, at least, the inspiration that these trinkets bring has gone stale, and begins to feel more like nostalgia about creation aborted. For this swap, the participant will first choose a permanent home (small box, shrine, whatever) for the things that you love but haven't used in at least one of the creative outlets that you practice. Cull your chosen collection ruthlessly; your goal is to fit everything that you keep into the new "home" that you have chosen. Stash it or display it, whichever is more appropriate. The remaining items should then be sent to your partner. Contents should fit, at minimum, in a letter-sized bubble-mailer, as your goal is to purge your creative environment of unnecessary chatter. If all goes as planned, we can each get a fresher look at where we are as artisans, and our partners will be inspired by the items, as we were, or they will pass them along to someone who will be. Everybody wins. This swap is 100% SENDER'S CHOICE. R- or X-rated is fine with me, but please make sure that it is fine with your partner before even considering it. There is no value on this swap, and the contents could be anything from paper to who-knows-what. This is my first time hosting a swap. Etiquette does seem to dictate that I disclose that :) Newbies welcome, if you PM me first. Please let me know why you are interested in the swap and that you will send to your partner on time, and I will check out your profile. Understand that this is nothing personal, but just good protocol. I will angel for any flakers, but I will totally mail you a photocopy of my middle finger if you flake on your partner. |
