Description: | |
The Victorians had a charming tradition of leaving a lovely calling card when they visited one another. Here are some wonderful examples of calling cards from the past. For this swap you will have two partners, and will send to each partner - a - One beautiful calling card with your name or screen name on it (no completely plain cards or business cards please). You may make or print the card yourself. (The cards were generally about the size of a modern day business card.) b - One small giftie - an individually wrapped teabag, a little charm or some small passementrie you think your partner might enjoy. c -One note to say hello. This should be inexpensive to mail and fun to receive so I hope you'll all join in. Please contact me if you have questions and feel free to post links to samples of calling cards you may find on the net. Graphic courtesy of Annie's Calling Cards |
