I spend a lot of time listening to NRP, and one of my favorite programs is This I Believe (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4538138). The basics of the program, for those not familiar, is that people will write essays telling what they believe. Sometimes the beliefs have to do with their person. Sometimes it's with the world at large. There are religious beliefs, fantastic beliefs, beliefs in life, love, the goodness of mankind... you name it, it's fair game. It always makes me curious about the types of beliefs others that I know (even tangentially, like through Swap-Bot) would write about if given the chance. So that's where this swap comes from. In this swap, you will have 1 partner. You'll write at least a two page letter describing what you believe. The letters can be hand written or printed, whatever works best for you. But they will be snail-mailed rather than e-mailed. This is an international swap, open to anyone and everyone. I will angel (or accept others to angel if they'd like) if anyone gets flaked on. This is my first swap to host, so please be gentle! :) edit Remember, this is about people's beliefs and your partner may have different beliefs than you, so read their beliefs with an open mind - even if they don't believe the same as you, you're learning a bit about them and that's never a bad thing! |
