EDIT-I'm changing the MIX CD to a PLAYLIST! :) A little bird (haha, twobluecrows actually) told me that was better since copying music isn't really the best idea. Thank you! ;)
Hello, everyone! This is the first time for me, holding a swap, and I hope everything goes smoothly. :)
Now, this is going to be a fun, creative and artistic swap.
Whether you've been drawing for a year, or a month, whether you paint, or sketch, whether you draw chairs & boxes or girls & flowers - if art is one of your passions - do join us!
What we're going to do here is send things that show our artistic side to the person we're sending the package to.
Here's what you'll be sending:
Filled Sketchbook
A playlist
Letter
Details:
Filled Sketchbook: Yes! You'll be sending a sketchbook filled with drawings MADE FOR THIS SWAP. You absolutely CANNOT send over a sketchbook you had filled a long time ago!! You have to have made it specifically for the person you're sending to.
It doesn't matter whether you draw 1 big sketch on every page, or fill each page will a million doodles. Whatever you feel like. The drawings should not be too serious - this is just for fun, a little practice.
It would be super nice of you to read the person you're sending to's profile, if they have an obsession with cows, draw them a cow or 2. If they like cute things, draw some flowers here and there. But for the most part - it should be YOUR style. A small glimpse of your mind crammed into this sketchbook. The size of your sketchbook should be A4 with no less than 20 pages and no more than 30.
A playlist: Imagine your art is being shown in an art gallery. What would the music playing in the background be? The playlist you'll be making is like... showing the person what inspires you, what you feel represents the person you are. The kind of things you fancy. e.g. a person who draws sad, dark things most likely listens to a lot of angry, dark music. Write some music down on a paper (with the letter? Whatever! :D) that relates to your art. The receiver of your package can download (or buy) the music and listen to it while flipping through the pages of your sketchbook. No less than 10 songs on your playlist!
Letter: Talk about your art. It doesn't have to be 200 pages, nor does it have to be 2. Just say what you want to say. If you have any artistic advice, give it. Here are some things to talk about, if you're stuck: Since when have you been drawing? What got you into it? What do you like to draw the most? Why? Which medias do you use?
Bonus?
Are you also into crafts, maybe, and want to share those? Is there a special art book you'd like to share? Whatever you want to add, add it. This is encouraged, but not necessary at all. :)
P.S.
If you, by any chance, are into things like drawing nudity, or violence, or (possibly) sensitive subjects, PLEASE talk to the person you're sending to!! If they're not ok with what you like to do, there are 2 solutions: 1) You can tone it down. Or 2) talk to me and we'll work it out.
P.P.S.
No, you don't need amazing talent for this. :) I know I don't have that, so don't worry!
NO.
FLAKES.
PLEASE.
A lot of effort is going to be put into this, so we just have no space for you people! >:( Being a little late is ok, just talk to the other side about it, warn them.
