Description:

Many of us love journalling - but sometimes we need a little help to get started. So let's make a kit to inspire our partner.

The following must be included in the swap:

50 Prompts

  • prompts are subjects/themes to write about. Examples are: "Make a blue page", "Write about the things that made you happy today", "Make a list of your favourite books" - and so on... The prompts can be printed or handwritten and must be put in a jar/box/envelope whatever from which your partner can just pull one out at random. You can find loads of prompt ideas by googling "journal prompts" :-)

A journal

Journalling is nothing without the actual journal :-p There are no limits as to do with size of this but you must decorate it so that it's not just a storebought one. Maybe you can personalize it to your partners likes, add some stickers and funky writing on the front or??

Something to write with

I think that sort of goes without explaining

A sheet of stickers

No teachers/advertising stickers please :-)

A stamp (as in eg. a rubber stamp)

Can be handmade or storebought :-)

Embellishments

This is where you can really personalize the swap with your touch. There is no specific amount of stuff you must include of these and it can be everything from die cuts to cut outs, paper scraps and so on..

Is this embellishments for partner to use or are we supposed to embellish the journal??

Midnightshadow 07/13/2010 #

@Chelle Thanks for asking: The embellishments are to be included loosely in the swap - but as it says under "A journal" you must also decorate the journal in some way - which could be with embellishments of some sort also :-)

OMG! I'mn so excited! I love this group! I have finally (well, I already knew this) found my niche in swap-bot. I LOVE making journals - and receiving them. Can't wait to get started.
