I love making and receiving bookmarks. I collect them and use them frequently. My favorite bookmark I received from Korea and I love international swaps. I'm always so thrilled to see different stamps and envelopes in my mailbox, they make my heart smile. I noticed that there is more and more USA swaps only... so sad... Well, this one is for all but USA (sorry neighbours!)

That said - would you like to swap some bookmarks? Then SIGN UP!!! Here are the rules:

  1. Anyone with ratings no lower than 4.5 and no "1" in the last three months may join. Newbies with filled profile are welcome.

  2. You will have 2 partners and you will send 1 bookmark to each partner. Bookmark can be homemade (preferred) or store bought or a free one from your local bookstore or library (but has to be pretty). To make a bookmark you can use any media you like and you will have 2 weeks to do it.

  3. Bookmark will be the choice of the sender, but please see your partner's profile for his/hers likes and dislikes.

  4. I hope I will not have to, but I promise that I will angel and there will be no participant left without a bookmark.

If you have any questions just send me a note and HAPPY SWAPPING!

I am not bothered at all that this swap is the Whole World but the USA.... :) I'm glad their are hosts for an international Bookmark Swap!! Have fun Creating!!

KarlaKC 08/ 1/2010 #

LOL! The irony is that this "whole world" swap is not for the whole world. Mind if I start another just like yours but to include the USA, too? I'd love to receive a bookmark from another country. A Korean one sounds just lovely.

LOL is right @KarlaKC ....LOL!!! Some folks just crack me up!!! LOL

To Peanutbutterrhino: It's just for fun, and I felt sorry for some swappers who would like to join swaps that were limited to USA only. Back in May I hosted and international bookmark swap and it was awesome. I had to angel only 3 (from about 70 participants). I love my neigbours from the south border (USA).

To KarlaKC: not at all! Have fun.

Why don't you just make it international? Why exclude USA just because we make regional swaps?

Bups 08/14/2010 #

I get this completely - shabbypink123, by making all the regional swaps, usually because of postage costs, the US is excluding the rest of the world. This way the US doesn't have to incur the postage costs. I say we need more of these type of swaps as we are excluded from so many others.

BBQ 08/15/2010 #

I TOTALLY agree with shabbypink123 it DOSNT cost that darn much to send stuff wither its in the USA, or internationally, we send stuff everyday to both places!!! I should know!!! Your taking the fun out of the swaps for everyone!

Plus, I know of PLENTY of swappers on here that DOSNT exclude the USA, & internationally & newbies at all!!! We may hold rgional every onces in a while, butto exclude theUSA all the time, thats racist! Cost dosnt have a thing to do with it! Stop hiding behind this excuse!

BBQ 08/15/2010 #

All your doing is making more people notice how much your swaps are causing people to have 2nd toughts.

BBQ 08/15/2010 #

Also if its regional its only open to YOUR region, NOT the whole USA, I dont think your swap is legal on swapbot because of their guidelines! Plus, if it was the whole world it would INCLUDE the USA too!

Bups 08/18/2010 #

Why don't you take a look at how many USA only swaps there are and then stop complaining. WE are excluded way more than the US. Racist means again a certain race - get a clue. The US is not a race! Please explain how this would be considered an illegal swap? And by the way - the cost excuse is not ours...check out how many US only swaps say "due to postage costs" - your excuse not ours.

I don't know why is the problem. The person who has created the exchange has decided some rules (except USA and so on...) and they are her rules. We must accept them. I read lots of times "regional swap - usa" in lots of exchanges and the rest of the world don't complain.

This is my opinion.
