well sometimes sending 5 PCs, is just the same postage as to send 5 PCs as a whole in an envelope, and about written ones, i prefer the first option !

also can the pcs be vintage? All my vintage pcs are in really good condition too. If so I will join when it gets closer to the date, for now will watch

Is it OK for some of the postcards be from postcard books? I have a couple really pretty place-based ones.

No old/vintage cards please. Cards from postcard books are okay as long as they show an identified location.

Does written mean that they have writing on them? A postcard that we have received from someone else? I just want to make sure that I send the proper kind.

A written postcard is a new card you buy in a shop. After that you write a message to your partner on it.
