Description: | |
We've all heard the Serenity Prayer: "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference" We are intelligent, creative people who choose how we want our lives to be and who we want to share it with....most of the time. Until we get that phone call from the doctor, or call in the middle of the night. We loose a job, or a pet, or a loved one. That scary medical test comes back posititve. We worked hard, honestly did our best....and failed anyway. Some one important disappoints us, or we disappoint ourselves. There is no solution, no fix, no negotiations with God and no going back. We just have to put on our Big Girl Panties and deal with it. This isn't a "depression envie" swap. Write your partner a letter, briefly describing what you've had to face. Describe how you are coping, what has helped? What support have you found? What advice would you give someone facing the same situation? How are you keeping our chin up? What have you learned from the experience about yourself and the people around you? Has there been anything positive that has come out of it? Has the experience changed your faith, for better or for worse? Letters should be at least 2 pages long and should have a positive focus overall. If you feel compelled, you could express yourself creatively and include a collage, drawing or photos, but they should be in ADDITION to the 2 written pages. This is an international swap The postage on a few pages in a flat envelope should be pretty bearable. New, non-rated swappers are welcome, but keep in mind this is your chance to SHINE and build a good rating so don't procrastinate and don't FLAKE! I reserve the right to ban anyone with a 4.5 rating or lower. |
