I loved @panykattack s idea for the color swap (based on the WTA) but couldn't participate at the time. Still, I have this THING for matching colors. I love shopping at Target only because they group most of their items (decorating, etc) by themes and colors! So I think we need more color swaps! Which leads us to... color swap #2 :) And it's a big one. Choose a color. Sender's choice... choose anything you want. Your favorite color, your partner's favorite, or even just one that is most convenient! Now, start scavenging. You will need to find one of EACH of the following TEN items in your chosen color to create a sweet little color themed package for your partner.
Package your items nicely (you could wrap them individually in white paper you scribbled the color all over, or all together in colored tissue, or in bright colored comic book pages, or tie them with a colored ribbon or yarn, or put them all inside a plastic accordion file in your chosen color... these are ideas, and are not required, but try to make it fun to receive) And finally, somehow, stick with the color theme with your shipping package... stamps on the parcel, stickers, writing, pictures, colored envie, etc. These items may be repurposed (in good condition), handmade, or purchased (except the food, please; purchased only. :) Creativity is definitely allowed, and hopefully this swap will be as fun for you to put together as it will be for your partner to receive. I reserve the right to refuse someone's request to join if your ratings since joining this group have slipped since the last time we did a review. I'm leaving a long time to get this finished, so we won't need to rush and can also spread the expense out (in case it feels costly... ) but DON'T leave it till the last minute and send a very thrown-together package, or forget about it totally. |
