With mailing all within Canada, this tea swap will be nice & inexpensive to send (flat mail), and we can still send lots of tea to our partners!
Each swapper will:
* have two partners
* send each partner eight tea bags (or equivalent - see below)
* send no more than two of the same tea
* consider her partner's dislikes & likes when choosing teas, but this is SENDER's choice, so don't narrow it down too far, or your partner may be unable to meet your preferences
* upon signing up, list your tea preferences (wrapped bags only? individual bags okay? loose tea okay? flavours you really don't like? flavours you especially love?)
Important Note:
The information about preferences is given strictly as extra information that is handy to have when you're choosing tea to send. You do not need to run out & search for a particular tea someone loves - this is only for the purpose of making the selection a little easier. It is still sender's choice. There will be no down-grading for sending tea a person does not like - you can always swap it out to someone else. I know that I like to have some ideas on what my partner enjoys so I can choose the best from what teas I have on hand. If the information provided is too limiting, senders may simply choose independently of that information.
A note about postage:
I weighed eight Stash individually-packaged tea bags, and that came to 0.8 oz, then a lightweight envelope which is about 0.2 oz - equals an envie of 1 oz. Envelopes under 1 oz = one regular stamp. Envelopes of 1-1.8 oz = $1.00 stamp. Stash are among the heaviest ones since their packages are metal-lined - so if you had even one of the other bags a paper-wrapped one or unwrapped, you'll be able to send all 8 bags in one standard envelope for one normal 0.57 stamp.
