Description:

(As a companion to the Croc Hunter ATC swap, here's a swap that's open to anyone 4.8 or better!)

In a few days, it'll be four years since we lost Steve Irwin. He was kind of crazy, but crazy awesome, wholly dedicated to his passion, and did more to educate and encourage people about wildlife and wildlife conservation than anyone in decades. He was controversial, but a lot of us loved him.

Let's remember him together by sharing memories of him by mail!

  • You will send a postcard each to two different partners, and on each you'll write some memory you have of the Croc Hunter, or some way he's inspired you. A segment that's always stuck with you, something he did that always made you laugh, a moment when his show really moved you, maybe you got to meet him, maybe watching his show got you through a tough time--anything having to do with him that has personal significance to you.

    • Make your story substantial. Just writing "Steve rocks!!" or "I got to meet him once, it was great!" or "He always made me laugh when he said Crikey!" isn't enough. Make it at least a paragraph--put some heart into it, tell us your story about Steve. He deserves it!

    • Cards can be homemade or storebought, sender's choice, but if your recipient prefers not to get homemade cards, please respect that.

    • The front of the cards can have anything you want on them--tourist, artsy, whatever. Personally, I'll be sending cards with pictures of wildlife on them--I figure it's a fitting tribute!

    • Cards should be sent written and naked unless your recipient has stated here that they prefer them in an envelope.

    • Open to anyone with a 4.8 or higher rating. Newbies welcome!

Post if you have questions. :) Enjoy!
