Description:

Grab your camera's ladies.
For this swap you will take a picture of your Halloween pumpkin. It can be carved or painted or what ever crafty thing you did to it. Get it developed any size you'd like, just not wallet size.

Then you will grab a large handful of left over Halloween candy, equally about 1 measuring cup and send these items to your partner.

The Twist:

You will be shipping these items in a an empty soda or water bottle.

Here's how. You can slightly roll up the picture and drop it thru the opening of the bottle. The picture will open up to the size of the container once inside. Then, drop the candy thru the opening as well. Glue the lid on the bottle. Slap an address label on the bottle and ship.

OR

Since most candy won't fit thru the opening, here is your option for that. Using a sharp object under adult supervision, slice a slit in the side of the bottle and insert your items. Then, using shipping tape, cover the sliced slit and then place your address label over the sliced slit that has been taped shut.

tongue twister there. lol

Once you receive your plastic sliced slit shipped container, simply remove the tape from the side to get your goodies out.

Please for obvious reasons don't send chocolate or candy that will melt.

NO special candy requests and no dietary restrictions. This is pre-purchased candy. No special store runs for your partner.

Minimum requirement is a 20oz bottle.

All Queens welcome unless of coarse you've been bad and just haven't been caught yet.

Gofeen 09/ 2/2010 #

How about an International or a European or a U.K. version, please? Pretty please. I'm dying to send a bottle through the post. :>)

Hmmmmm! We are allowed to carve a pumpkin without supervision but have to have adult supervision to cut a slit!!!!

RyeRye 09/ 3/2010 #

yes cocoa, if I have to do it so do you~ lol

@Gofeen I bet if you scan thru the officers and find one in your area and ask super nice they will swipe the swap. I didn't think Halloween was practiced in other regions?

boo-- I am having to drop from this swap ..My hubbs said we were not doing pumpkins this year.. Instead,we are tilling up the ground and spreading hay..HUH?? I have no idea..Guess he is getting ready for Spring, THAT is when we are getting our front lawn landscaped..

Our kids around here do not go trick or treating ..They go to church functions mainly.. Rae usually hits 3 churches within a week.Fall Festivals

We had some things happen in our town past two years on Halloween, and has caused our Mayor to put a halt on the going door to door..Not many ppl decorate anymore either.. My BFF did last year, and it was soooo cool..But ...Anyway..

Hope you all have fun with this one though..

Love this cool swap idea!

Just wondering, do we have to wrap the bottle in order to ship it, or do we literally just put the address label on it and glue the top shut?

ALSO, just me making sure I have my ducks in a row :) Do you mean a 20 oz bottle, a 1 liter bottle, or a 2 liter bottle?

Crazipurplelady 10/11/2010 #

this sounds like so much fun! I can't wait!

RyeRye 10/11/2010 #

20 oz bottle is fine. And yes, just send the bottle as is. No need to wrap it. Remember to remove the original bottle label though.
