Description:

Did you know that September 25−October 2, 2010 is ALA designated Banned Books Week? This year's theme is "Think for yourself". "The ALA Office of Intellectual Freedom promotes awareness of challenges to library materials and celebrates freedom of speech during Banned Books Week."

To celebrate, we're going to send a quick note to one other partner talking about a banned or challenged book that we like. You might talk about why it was challenged or why you like it. A notecard or postcard is fine.

Need book suggestions? Check ALA.org for lists of frequently challenged books.

I just checked out the list and couldn't believe some of the books challenged. Wow. This is a great swap, but we should be sending our postcards/notecards to the nitwits that are challenging these books. :)

@bratface99 - yeah, but it'd be a hassle to track down addresses... At least we're reading them!
