Description: | |
This is the second in a series of chunky book pages about YOU! In the end, you will have a little book that's very unique and specific to you & your life. (If you wish, you can definitely make this about someone else, to collect pages & assemble for a gift). Each month, we will have a theme, and will make a page on that theme that is partner-specific. For many of these themes, we will need to message our receiving partner for information. It's a little challenge as artists, and happily, also a way to get to know one another a little better. Joining one month does not require you to join every month. Likewise, missing some does not mean you can't join in the fun. This month, we will do "Favorite Places". When you sign up, please list below in the comments section, at least five favorite places. These may be towns/cities, countries, rooms, stores, restaurants, parks - whatever floats your boat. If it's a favorite place of yours, it qualifies. If the favorite place is very specific, or private (versus public - e.g., your own living room), or obscure, please be prepared to provide your partner with more information about it. When making your page, you may use any or all of the places identified by your partner. For all pages in this series, please make the overall page size 4.5"x4", with the artwork portion being 4x4. The other 1/2" is for binding and should be left blank (this will be on the left hand side of the artwork). Pages should be sturdy enough to easily support the embellishments used. You may choose the media used - collage, assemblage, original artwork, whatever you wish. Please ensure that there are some embellishments on the page which make it "chunky", not 2-D. The back of your page will be highly visible when the book is bound, so please make it neat and presentable. No need to actually decorate it, but if it's repurposed cereal box or something, then please cover it with a piece of paper. The back should also bear the title of your piece (theme), and your swapbot name - real name is optional at your discretion - and the date. Feel welcome to add any other info you wish. Any member of this group who is in good standing may join the swap. If there is anyone questionable, I reserve the right to drop them. The Series (a work in progress, and if interest continues):
