~USA ONLY~ newbies with completed profile~ NO NO-SENDS

Have you ever ran out of something the day before payday? Dish soap, laundry soap, toothpaste, ketchup!? Well this swap is to help you get through one of those days.

You should send your 1 partner some trail size or samples of things you might run out of or other items. you pick and send what you want, what ever you can think of and whatever is available to you. Send as much as you want but please try to send at least 5 things. Some examples are (not limited to)

trial size / sample Toothpaste Laundry detergent dryer sheets / other laundry items dish soap
Toilet paper baby wipes 1 or 2 postage stamps 1 or 2 envelopes sample perfume sunscreen bandaid soap shampoo mouthwash stationary set- 2 papers 1 envie

{sometimes its just an emotional hard time} there are just times when you just don't feel like going out. Or here in Ohio you may be snowed in!

candy hot chocolate pack tea bags bookmark candle micro popcorn small teddy bear :)

now you can go buy the trial size sample or just make up your own sample pack, if you bought a multi pack of something you can put 1 or 2 in a plastic baggie {if a food item - please make sure the item is in its own container or individually wrapped}

NO REQUESTS TO GET OR NOT TO GET SOMETHING

!!!EXCEPT ALLERGIES!!!

these are hard times remember if you were on a desert island and was thirsty and found grape koolaid I don't think you would say 'I don't like grape, I wanted cherry!' if your used to using Dawn and you get a sample of generic, remember its hard times you do what you have to do. and besides your a member of swap-bot you can re-swap your stuff you don't care for!

not neccesary to wait till your partner is assigned you can start getting stuff as soon as you sign up. plenty of time between sign up and send out dates.

please rate fairly

lol right now...mine is toilet paper...ohhh its so bad

Sally 09/13/2007 #

Love this idea. Pity its US only

Susan 09/13/2007 #

I'm sorry Sally yes this one is US only, please feel free to start an international one. I just recently went to the post office to send 13 packages only 4 were international and my total was $70.00 so i'm recovering from that right now.

I am sooooo ready for this swap! I hoard small things like this - strictly because of this very reason, lol:0) My kids used to laugh at me when I'd pick up an extra 4 packs of ketchup at But they were always happy when I had it and the ketchup bottle was empty! Thanks for hosting this swap Susan. It'll be interesting to see what others pick to send.

This is such a fabulous idea! I LOVE samples, travel sizes...you just NEVER know when they're going to come in handy! I've also been sending them to the troops overseas - they're great! :)

Susan 09/13/2007 #

Staci Rose : cool for sending to the troops - just how do you do that anyway how do you get an address?

Susan 09/13/2007 #

I have got a few things from www.walmart.com they have a place on there where you can ask for free samples they list what is available, takes a few weeks if you ordered stuff today..... it may get here in time to send don't know exactly. Sometimes also free coupons in the Sunday paper for trial size stuff.

LOL... I had the exact same experience with the post office last Monday... 12 swaps, 4 customs forms, 3 boxes, lots of lumpy manila envelopes and $67!!! Now I have to send something ugly to Israel... however ugly it is, it's gonna be light and flat, I'll tell you right now....

Kristipye 10/ 5/2007 #

It's always dish soap and toilet paper for us----sounds like we still eat too much--even when we are broke!LOL

bryannastreasure 10/11/2007 #

we are just moving, so things for a new apartment would be great! We are starting from scratch, so things like scrubbie pads, cleaning samples, even a can opener would be great! love and light, Bryanna

Susan 10/17/2007 #

i feel for ya shecooks! i'm trying to stay usa only for awhile, I love sending folks stuff but the postage cost way more than the stuff you send!

Susan 10/17/2007 #

I have so many stocked up items that I need to rotate through - I have baby medicines and medical supplies and I even have a matchless/fluid-free/water-proof lighter along with other items that I can pack up and send today!

atracybrat 10/28/2007 #

Sounds fun, sign me up:) Tracy

Susan 10/28/2007 #

just curious CREATIVEMISFIT is that matchless/fluid-free/water-proof lighter 2 flint rocks or 2 sticks? or maybe a magnifying glass. I just can't picture it. But sounds neat, thanks for joining glad to have you here.

Welcome Tracy and everyone else partners assigned on Thursday most likely.

happynau 10/29/2007 #

yay! i can't wait.

creativemisfit 11/ 1/2007 #

none of the above - it is a piece of steel that you rub against the ground and it creates sparks. it is called Light My Fire Swedish FireSteel made by the Swedish Defense Department and costs $10.99. I haven't used it but think it would make a great gift for just about anyone!

Susan 11/ 1/2007 #

wow that sounds very interesting!

bryannastreasure 11/ 1/2007 #
