For this swap...

  • You will share one (1) original "minimalist poem" with one (1) partner. The poem must be an original and written by YOU!

  • The poem may be handwritten or typed, but please send it in a way that you would be happy to receive said poem.

  • The poem will be sender's choice, but MUST follow the basic rules and definition of a "minimalist poem" as well as the chosen theme. (see next two sections)

  • The basic qualifications that fit a minimalistic poem can be anything from a couple of words to a couple of lines or up to two stanzas.

  • Your theme for this particular poem will be "AFTER DARK". It is up to you how you interpret this theme.

  • Remember, the poem will be relatively short.... simple... quick. There are lots of examples online, if you need extra ideas or help. Also, the picture for this particular swap is also an example of a minimalist poem.

  • If there are any questions, don't hesitate to ask ;)

Can you give some good links? I'm a little unsure and there are lots of different links on google.

You might have to read a little bit down the web page to view examples, but here are a few I came across, Moni:

Sure thing! I have never written a poem like this myself, so it should be fun to try!

I finished my piece yesterday and it was so much fun! I hope you do lots more of these minimalist poems!!! Or Haikus, minimalistic too. :-)
