Christmas is religious. We celebrate the birth of Christ. So whoever takes part in a swap called Christmas greetings should expect to get a religious card. But no fear, I wont take part.

While you are technically correct, in the 21st century Christmas has come to have many meanings, not just that particular one. As long as it represents love and kindness and generosity towards all, I think that is more important than any particular religious connotation. And, while you are certainly entitled to your religious opinion, this is my swap so I can describe it any way I want. Oh, and by the way, I am a Christian. I just don't like making those of other faiths feel excluded from this wonderful celebration. Thx for the opportunity to make my position known. (";)

My holiday message was very short and very sweet. Going in the post tomorrow.

In Norway we don't celebrate Christmas, we celebrate Jul, a very old tradition that has nothing to do with religion of any kind. The celebration is about the sun coming back to our very cold and dark country. We open presents on the evening of the 24th, and the 25th is the most boring day ever ;P

Lexidh 11/21/2010 #

Oh, and we actually get to see Santa, he is not this creepy guy that breaks into the house while we sleep ;P
