Description: | |
For this swap, you will be creating one art doll for one partner. The theme is Roman/Greek Gods. (not goddesses) If you are like me, your collection is mainly female figures and it's exciting to have an opportunity to add a male or two. If this goes well, we will have a series of specific deities, starting with Zeus. You will be creating a 3D art piece of a god for your partner, no paper dolls, please. You can use whatever medium you specialize in: fabric, beads, clay, wood, metal, altered dolls, found objects, etc... or any combination. You may use paper as a component, but the end result should not be a flat paper doll. The piece should be at least 5 inches/12.7 cm. This is a good display size and will fit in a bubble mailer or small flat rate box, depending on composition, so the shipping cost shouldn't be horrible. Of course you can make a larger god, if you feel led to do so! When you sign up, please post at least three Gods (lesser Gods are fine) you feel inspired to create. Once partners are assigned, come back, see what your sender is offering and PM them with what you would love to receive. The send date is past the holidays, so there is plenty of time to work on this during odd moments This is a group swap, you all know the rules and expectations. Have fun with this, it is a challenge to make male figures but think of all the HUGE personalities in the Greek and Roman pantheons! There is a ton of inspiration! I could not find a credit for the Pan in the swap photo. If anyone knows the artist, please let me know so I can give credit Edited to clarify: This is for gods, not goddesses. I plan to do a goddess theme swap when this one is complete! |
