Description:

For this swap you will have one partner and create a holiday ornament using a puzzle piece.

The puzzle piece should be around 2.5" and should be decorated in a festive theme for the holidays. Use a piece of ribbon, twine, fiber, etc. to make it so the ornament will hang. Check out this thread for a picture of a finished ornament.

Use anything you would like to decorate and embellish your puzzle piece: paint, ephemera, rhinestones, ribbon, stamps and anything else hanging around your craft area that looks festive! Make your puzzle piece something your partner would be proud to hang on their tree!

Ideas for decorating the puzzle piece:

  • Red
  • Green
  • Snowmen
  • Christmas Trees
  • Candy Canes
  • Gingerbread People
  • Presents
  • Snowflakes
  • Winter Scenes
  • Wreaths
  • Reindeer
  • Santa
  • Mistletoe
  • Ornaments
  • Stockings
  • Fireplaces
These are just ideas to help you get started! Be creative as you would like!

This swap is for one puzzle piece for one partner. It is sender's choice for design and medium. The send-by date is the first of December so our ornaments have plenty of time to arrive at their destination!

All members of this group are encouraged to participate. This is a safe place to try out a craft for a first time. In other words, no one should worry that their ornament won't be good enough. That is not what this group is about. Just craft and have fun!

We are an AWESOME group of swappers and there should be no incidents of flaking.

Let me know if you have any questions!

If you don't have any larger puzzle pieces, check your local thrift shop. They are usually around the children's board games.

Happy Crafting to All!
