The phrase "something wicked this way comes" originates in Act IV scene 1 of William Shakespeare's play Macbeth. The speaker is the second witch, whose full line is, "By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes." The wicked thing is Macbeth himself, who by this point in the play is a traitor and murderer. I love Macbeth - it's one of my favourite Shakespeare plays :) So.... This swap is about making ATCs featuring characters from Shakespeare plays. Perhaps you are a fan of Puck? Or Hamlet? Maybe Richard III does it for you? Star-crossed lovers Romeo & Juliet? Pick one character and create an ATC with it on. Any medium acceptable, however, please do your best work - something you would be proud to receive. Regular sized ATC (2.5 inches by 3.5inches) and sleeved to protect it in transit. You can find a list of his plays here: http://shakespeare.mit.edu/ Anyone is welcome to join, so newbies this is a chance to score some ratings. This is an international swap. Any questions, please ask! |
