I hosted this swap a year ago on another group and it was so much fun, I thought I should host it again for our group. This is a fun & easy swap. Did I say fun?! Take a piece of cardstock (any color) and randomly adhere all sorts of different papers to it, overlapping the edges as you go (your papers can be decorative, printed with words, plain, sparkly, etc.). The idea here is not to worry about planning – just have fun with random papers. After you have completed this step, turn the cardstock over so you can't see the covered side. Draw several hearts on it and cut them out. Turn them over and see how pretty they look with the collaged papers you chose. It's kind of like a surprise – you never know what you're going to get. Now, take these pretty hearts and use them to make two cards, one for each of your two partners; not for them to send, but for them to receive and enjoy. You could even make them into Valentine cards; the choice is up to you. Please write a short (or long) message to each of your partners on the inside of the cards. A few ideas are to attach your heart to another layer and cut that out in a heart shape too, and then adhere it to the front of a blank card. You could cut tiny slits all around the heart and wrap gold thread across it to give it some further pizzazz. I'm sure you will think of other ways too. Have fun and be creative. NOTE: You could even choose to cut out several smaller hearts to create with. As you'll see in my example above, I added self-adhesive rhinestones. You will be sending one Collaged Paper Heart Card to each of your two partners. This swap is sender's choice on colors/creativity. Minimum rating: 4.9 rating, with no recent 1s or 3s, without a good explanation. |
