Description:

We all love seeing our postman/mailman turn up with our goodies, isn't he such a great person, maybe i should thank him, i wonder how..and i wonder what's in his package today?

This is a silly sex art swap. 1 partner.

Draw a postcard sized drawing (colour/black or white, doesn't matter) of you "thanking" your mailman for his constant deliveries..Maybe the two of you humping in bed surrounded by packages. or a nice picture of you on your knees and he's got his mail bag swung round his back..use your imagination. maybe write a phrase under the drawing like "i fucking love mail"

This was inspired by someone who mentioned their mailman on their profile. I don't think they would want to be the reason this was made so i won't tell.

Sex smuts only. If you don't have a filthy mind you can't join this swap. Newbies, you can join, but only if you've seen the film A Dirty Shame. I have the right to ban and whip anyone who seems flakey.

Must be sent in an envelope! No nude drawings for the postman to get excited over.

This is hilarious! Maybe I should join... My postman is lazy and never brings my registered mail that needs a signature to the door. I'm tired of checking my letterbox to find a 'you were out and I missed you' card, even though I've been home all day! I think if he saw one of these he would be busting to knock on my door;)

racheljohnson 01/15/2011 #

Hi - I changed the title of your swap. Usually our policies prevent me from altering swaps, but in this case the title was offending other users and being displayed on our homepage. Let me know if you have any questions. rachel@swap-bot.com - Thanks!

mwquilt 01/15/2011 #

Don't forget there are rules about what can be sent in the mail..especially if not contained in an envie....maybe different in different countries.

I think this swap is ill-conceived and the sort of thing that would tend bring Swapbot into disrepute.

AndrewLips 01/15/2011 #

@LittleSaint - Thanks! He won't let you down again after this!

@racheljohnson - that's cool, if something grosses someone out and it's with fair reasoning (i.e. profanity) that's fine.

@mwquilt - i've changed it to make sure now it must be sent in an envelope. this swap isn't going to do any damage, you'll see. if we were trading Nazi patches or porn mags, maybe then you can have a right to have concern, but this is just gonna be silly willy drawings, relax. People who make it out to be a big deal, make it a much bigger deal then it actually is,

AndrewLips 01/15/2011 #

Also, just because something is out there and you don't like it doesn't always make it wrong or bad . I don't like Matt Damon movies but i'm not attacking him, or modern art or I don't like fairy related swap-bot trades but I'm not complaining about them. I'm not degrading swap-bot in anyway.

alwayschic 01/15/2011 #

mwquilt....if you dont like it, you dont have to join.....but you just clicking on the swap and reading what is was about, leads me to think otherwise:)

CSNYfan 01/15/2011 #

AndrewLips, everyone on this site is (should be) 18 and over. I guess it never hurts to put that in a title, though.

robotlove 01/15/2011 #

Regardless of any offense, what @mwquilt first said is true.

According to this page on usps.com: http://pe.usps.gov/text/dmm300/601.htm#wp1140026, it would seem like sending mail with "lewd" or "pornographic" images on the outer wrapping (be it envelope or packaging) is not acceptable.

. . . . .

(Under 13.0 Written, Printed, and Graphic Matter Generally / 13.5 Other Nonmailable Matter)

*13.5.4 Lewd or Filthy Matter

Obscene, lewd, lascivious, or filthy publications or writings, or mail containing information on where, how, or from whom such matter may be obtained,* and matter that is otherwise mailable but that has on its wrapper or envelope any indecent, lewd, lascivious, or obscene writing or printing, and any mail containing any filthy, vile, or indecent thing is nonmailable (18 USC 1461, 1463).*

. . . . .

To be honest, I don't know how strictly enforced this regulation is, but... you might want to be careful... and I for one wouldn't want to participate in a swap like this, simply because one of the mail clerks already hates me. :)

robotlove 01/15/2011 #

Oops. My mistake. I didn't notice you had this in the swap description: "Must be sent in an envelope! No nude drawings for the postman to get excited over."

Well... if anything, my comment should serve as a warning for anyone who decides not to mail this in an envelope. :P

OverMoon 01/15/2011 #

@robotlove

That is for the US only. In my country no one would care. I have revived many nude picture postcards in the mail. In the swap info it says to 'send in an envelope'.

robotlove 01/15/2011 #

Ha. @OverMoon ... I was almost right in guessing your country, because my first thought was remembering what it was like to live in Germany and all the crazy stuff I saw for sale by the street vendors. There were always so many weirdly risque postcards!

But yes, I know it's a US only regulation. I only mentioned it because this swap is international, and the host is from the US.. so at least one person would need to consider it, right? :)

And I'm aware that the swap description says to mail in an envelope, and I'm glad to see that. I wouldn't want to hear about any members getting into trouble over something like that.

AndrewLips 01/15/2011 #

i'm not from the US. i'm from the UK. :)

robotlove 01/15/2011 #

{lol} Man.. Just totally excuse me this morning. I've had maybe 3 hours of sleep and it's obviously showing. (I think I got you confused with another swap-bot member).

Anyway, the point is... the usps doesn't think willies on envelopes are funny.

AndrewLips 01/15/2011 #

that one sentence is the highlight of my day!! haha :D

"the usps doesn't think willies on envelopes are funny"

CSNYfan 01/15/2011 #

That was pretty funny...

Crochetninja 01/15/2011 #

I think willies on postcards are hilarious!

Crochetninja 01/15/2011 #

*envelopes not postcards (although they are funny on postcards too).

washingtonmaverick 01/15/2011 #

@ robotlove its no different than subscriptions of Maxxium, Play boy/girl being sent out an all those other smut magazines. They are however in an plastic sleeve.

Nudity and the human body is a work of art by our divine creator and should be proudly displayed. Its only because of society that we've seen the extreme need to cover up our bodies, develop negative thoughts and feelings and embarrassment about it.

And just for the record...I'm not a perfectly buxom-ious girl I have stretch marks, a belly that's ruined by a c-section, and lop-sided boobs but I love my body because its what hold my soul, my spirit and my inspiration here on earth. If it wasn't for living in Idaho in a freezing cold, drafty house I might consider nudism.

alexalgebra 01/15/2011 #

I have sent offensive things through the mail and they made it fine...I'm in the us. ;)

mwquilt 01/15/2011 #

It is not just the US that has such regulations. The UK Postal Service has similar regulations and on its website says:

"If we find prohibited goods in the post, we will return them to the sender or dispose of them. In some cases, the sender may face prosecution.

Can your items be sent in the post? Use the table below to see whether the item you want to send is prohibited. If you are sending an item internationally, you should also confirm that the item is not prohibited in the destination country. We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to items that are prohibited in the destination country."

It goes on to list what items are prohibited and specifies "indecent, offensive or obscene material eg pornography"..

I expect other countries have regulations also.

I see that along with changing the title, the guidelines have been changed to require the use of an envelope now.

Candyn29 01/15/2011 #

do you think it would be illegal to draw a picture of you and your mail man humping, after all he is civil service employee.

OverMoon 01/15/2011 #

@mwquilt

To be honest all postal workers I know wouldn't care. I know I wouldn't and I worked for the postal service for 4 years. Most don't even notice what is on people's envelopes/postcards because we are to busy looking at the address and delivering mail. If I even saw what was on the postcard/envelope I would probably just have a good laugh. Also don't like = don't join.

kittenred 01/15/2011 #

hmm, i do have a postcard of seven condoms on it (got it in london), and seen some with breasts on them (photographic, not cartoon). i seem to have a different postman/lady every other week, most of them wouldn't be bothered as long as it's in good taste.

you can order pornography in the post, as long as it's not the illegal sort, and comes in plain, none-descriptive packaging. At the end of the day as long as it's sent in a plain envelope (brown might be best as you can't see through it) an arty doodle is going to matter.

i've only ever seen an attractive post-man in movies, so i'd go with that one! -perhaps a 'made-up' postmaster is in order....?

alwayschic 01/15/2011 #

I love how much discussion this swap has inspired!

AndrewLips 01/15/2011 #

yeah i agree @alwayschic ! it's great that at least people are talking about nudity, even if they agree or disagree about it being shown or not, talking is a good thing to do.

ElizabethObviously 01/16/2011 #

There have been swaps on here before where you try to shock your mailperson, just to see if any of them looked. Things where people send dirty postcards or write something dirty or totally off the wall...guess what....none of the mail people even notice. I think they get into this delivering groove where they see only the name and address and nothing else.

On a side note...we have 1 guy who delivers our mail. He always gets there really early, like 11. I saw him and said "Wow you always come so early." To which he quickly replied "Shhh, don't tell anyone else" Took me 2 hours get it!

AndrewLips 01/16/2011 #

Hahah! I guess that also apples with PostSecret, I imagine the secret postcards never get read by the post people, and most of the content is sexual/offensive/rude or suicide remarks

robotlove 01/17/2011 #

@washingtonmaverick

That's kind of the point I was making. My only concern is with members not getting into trouble for something like that. So (imo) it's a good reason to enclose it in a plain envelope just to be on the safe side... Even if it is less fun that way. :(

Anyway, what's up with everyone having good-natured/blase postal workers? Most of the ones I've encountered have all been so grumpy! There is one postal clerk I like, and he knows me personally now, but even he's becoming a little more short than usual. :(

dolcxvita 01/23/2011 #

@AndrewLips - fun swap! ...would have joined-- if only my drawing skills could match my imagination.. haha;)

AndrewLips 01/23/2011 #

@1teaspoonsugar i'm not expecting any amazing art skills really. anyone who is a bit creative can join. it doesn't matter how good or bad you are at drawing x
