I've been admiring aboriginal art for a long time now. I love the vibrant colors, the symbolizim, and the abstract qualities of this style artwork. I thought it would present an interesting challenge to atc artists. For this swap any media is welcome, all I ask is that if you download someone elses work...then refrence the original artist on the back of the card, and then do something to it via embelishment to make it "your own" This is an inter national swap. You will have 2 partners, and send one atc to each, for a total of two cards. Ratings of 4.6 or higher are required, newbies with fully filled out profiles are welcome. If you want to know what aboriginal atr looks like there are tons of examples on google. It has been brought to my attention that Aboriginal artwork is often of a sacred nature. I hadn't thought of this when I sugested that downloaded work be altered....I have been informed that indiginous people would find this offensive. I don't belive it would be fair to completely change the rules as some may have already worked on thier atcs, but please take these points of view under advisement, and be respectful. |
