Description:

Here is Swap #4 in the Food for the Gods swap. You do not have to have swapped in the other Food for the Gods Swaps to take part in the fun. For this swap choose one God or Goddess from any where in the world whose name starts with the letter “D” and find a recipe that uses one of the foods that they are associated with. (This includes herbs and spices) Put the recipe and a few lines about the deity that you have chosen on a piece of paper (28x21 cm this is a easy cut down from the American 81/2x 11 standard size sheet of paper and lets others outside the US play). Decorate the sheet in a way that would be pleasing to look at. An example would be crescent moon cookies for Diana or the special bread tablets with body parts on them that were left as offering during Nemonalia to her with the page decorated with forest animals. Be creative and have fun with the art. Please, send the original to your partner and not a scan through the mail of your work .The actual page can be done on the computer, by hand or both. The recipe does not have to be of your creation but please tell where or who you got the recipe from. Make it a food you would want to try or love already. Have fun, be creative and make your partner smile. I hope you join in the fun. I have gotten some outstanding recipe sheets that were both beautiful and educational and look forward to many more.

Requirements:

  1. Pick a God or Goddess whose name starts with the letter “D” and find a food that is associated with them.

  2. Find a recipe that use that food as one of its ingredients (don’t for get to give credit where credit is due)

  3. Put a few lines about your God or Goddess, the food or ingredient that relates to them and the recipe on a sheet of 28 x 21cm paper

  4. Decorate the paper in a way that relates to your deity

  5. Put the name of the swap and your swap name on the back of your swap or on a separate note so your partner knows who to rate.

Ways to step up a notch but not a requirement:

1.You may want to make the recipe be of the same ethnic origin as the Deity you have chosen

  1. Find a recipe that can be used or was used in a magical manner or Holiday

Don’t forget to rate. It is such a nice way to say thank you to your partner for all their efforts.

If you get me as a partner and you are a US swapper you do not have to cut down your paper to meet the swap requirements. you can use a standard size piece of copy paper for this swap. The paper size is to allow more of our group members to play. It is not meant as a hardship.
