I've seen some penpal swaps based on age, like the twenty-something penpal swap, because people want to write to people that they have something in common with, and in an open-to-everyone random swap, that might not happen. However, I think that one's place in life is not always obvious from age! This is a penpal swap for people who still don't know what they want to be when they grow up :) If you're uncertain about what you're doing with your life and your dreams for the future, whether you're fifteen or fifty, this is the swap for you! You will have one parter, and you will write a penpal letter of at least 2 A4/letter size pages to that partner (or one page front and back). Typed or handwritten is okay, just make it an interesting and substantial letter! The letter must explain your uncertainty about the future, what you might or might not want to be when you 'grow up,' but it's not limited to that--this is hopefully the start of a real penpal friendship, so write about anything else that will get the conversation started, too! Extras not required, but always appreciated :) Also appreciated are decorated/creative stationery and envelopes! Send something nice, not a single hastily written piece of paper in a plain envelope. Please send something you would like to receive. Please join this swap only if you intend to find a long-term penpal, not write once and stop. Have fun! |
