Description: | |
This is another fun letter swap! In this swap, you will have one partner. You will write a letter of at least three pages (standard notebook paper sizes/A4--more pages if you use smaller paper, of course, and if you have particularly large handwriting, please fill a bit more space--use your judgment). Letters may be handwritten or typed. Before you write your letter, choose two of your hobbies or interests that fill a lot of your time. Instead of being a penpal introduction letter where you simply list some of your hobbies, you will write in depth about these two passions. Of the three pages you write, at least one page must be devoted to each of your hobbies/interests. For example, I might choose to write about my interest in history and my passion for photography. In my three-page letter, I might devote the first page to some general information about me and my life, an introduction, the second page to the reasons I love history and what parts of it interest me most, and the third page to what I love about photography and my experiences. After you have written your letter, you will include an 'extra' that somehow relates to one of your chosen hobbies. For me, this might be a photo I've taken or one by a photographer I admire. If you love poetry, you might include a poem. If you love writing, you might include some nice writing paper. Politics, some political campaign stickers. Art, a drawing you've done. Cooking, a favorite recipe. Travel, a postcard from somewhere you've been. And so on, you get the idea. These are just suggestions--if you choose one of these topics, feel free to include something else related! I hope I've made the description clear! If you have any questions, just ask. Please join this swap if you intend to make a long-term penpal, not just write one letter. Please send something that you would like to receive--more extras, decorated letters/envelopes and so on are not required, but definitely appreciated! Have fun! |
