Number of swap partners:2
Description:

For this swap you are going to put your crafting hat on and make things :)

Take a gander at the list below and choose something to make yourself and send to your partners. This is not a quick turn-around swap - it'll take effort and time.

Two items from the list for each partner (can be the same type of things for each partner). No store-bought or made by someone else allowed. You can alter and existing item, but do it so that your creativity comes through. Slapping a sticker on something and calling it altered will not do. With this swap you can really let your creativity come through. Where it says no altered allowed, that will take precedence.

You have to adhere to the amount specified for each item otherwise you did not meet requirements. You can make the items from cloth, yarn or paper (where applicable. A paper pincushion is just a bit silly). This will give us all the same playing field as we all have different skills :)

THE LIST:

  • 5 bookmarks / bookthongs (depending on elements, follow these guidelines: huge paperclips; at least 5cm per magentised leg; at least 15 cm long for bookthongs / normal flat bookmarks. Can mix 'em up to add up to 5)
  • 3 ATC's (2.5x3.5" artwork)
  • 3 skinnies (basically 3x5" ATC's)
  • 8 inchies
  • 6 twinchies ( basically 2x2" inchies)
  • 4 notecards (envies optional and notecards blank for your partner to use; no altered allowed. Make from scratch)
  • 5 handmade postcards (blank for your partner to use; no altered allowed. Make from scratch)
  • 8 handmade envies (sturdy for post and mailable size; no altered envies allowed. Make from scratch)
  • 1 doll (any medium e.g. paperdoll, stuffie, spoolie, mini ami, dotee, button fairy, altered doll etc.)
  • 1 or 2 altered 32ct matchbox (if sent empty, make 2; if stuffed, send 1. Stuffing not need to be handmade)
  • 1 big matchbox diorama / shrine
  • 1 chunky book (min 20 pages decorated - as you would number pages in a book is how to count 20 pages; min size 14x9 cm)
  • 3 lettersets (2 x A4 or 4 x A5 pages per envie; 3 envies per letterset)
  • 1 pincushion (comfortable usable size)
  • 1 needlebook (to hold at least 30 needles or pins comfortably)
  • 1 carved rubber stamp (at least 5x5 cm)

If there is something you want to see on the list, please let me know. If the number attached to a certain element seems unfair, please let me know. I do not craft all the things on the list, but think 1 ATC for a pincushion is unfair. Trying to balance out effort.

This is sender's choice. Send what you are proud of. For inspiration go onto Flickr. For clarification on what each element is go here for the SB craft and swap terminology. I'll obviously also answer any questions.

4 weeks to craft - more than fair. Package for SAPO rough-handedness.

Requirements to join:

2 rated type 3 rswap will get you in. This is a heavy craft swap and don't want anyone overwhelmed. Making it two partners to get 2 ratings for your effort. PM me about recent 1's and 3's. Group rules apply after that. If you're unsure if you make the cut, PM me and I'll let you know :) Will not want to stand in between you and glory - teehee

Let's have fun everyone :)

So let me just see if I got this. Two items on the list per partner. So that is four items all together? I am going to stay on the watch list until I finish up a few swaps first. (p.s ROTFL at the paper pincushion.)

Jip, 2 items each for 2 partners - this swap has a month between sign up (end Feb) and swap deadline (end Mar) to allow for enough time. In theory you can even start now and have 2 months before sending - remember that this is sender's choice. If this means some planning to space out the crafting, do so. It's one of those projects that you can come back to every now and then. It's not as heavy as it looks, really. Choose items you are comfortable with and enjoy making and you'll see what I mean :)

I hosted this swap because I see a lot of these great craft heavy swaps in groups and then it's US-regional only. I'm jealous and want in on the fun!

Watch list.... :)

I usually prepare my swap in the sign up time and send it off relatively soon after partners are assigned, or when funds allow for postage. I have already started working on my items but I am on the watch list for the time being.

Oh, decision..decisions! What to make, it such a nice variety. Your swap dates also suit me so great it is laughable. I finish a big swap project on the 28th Feb :) Count me in!

Okay, I have cleared out a few swaps and am ready to join. Now..........where to start, so many decisions.

There is a nice variety of crafts on your list. May I sign up? I'm in the middle of some other swaps - waiting for PC's and cards.
