Your mission for this swap, should you decide to accept it, is to create one doll for one partner that says SPRING! For those of us in many parts of the US, this has been one long, snowy winter! We need us some SPRING and we need it NOW! Your doll can be jointed or not jointed - your choice, but it must express the concept of SPRING in some way. Perhaps an Easter Chick doll all decked out in an Easter bonnet or a fairy sprite in pastel colors. Maybe a SPRING doll to you is one that has crocuses and tulips incorporated in its clothing somehow. The interpretation is sender's choice, but it should clearly embody the theme without the receiver really having to stretch their imagination too far. Here are the nuts and bolts of this swap: One doll to one partner. The doll can be jointed or unjointed. You may make removable clothing if you wish or you may have the clothing be glued to the body. Edited - I originally said no printed out clothing, but that is okay as long as the doll is an assemblage or collage type doll. I just meant before when I said no printed out - cut me out dolls that you couldn't just find a complete doll and just cut her out and go. If you have a kit doll that you print out and cut and and assemble yourself, that is fine. Many of these are sold as online digital downloads and are completely fine. The doll must be at least six inches tall and be made out of sturdy cardstock or be glued onto a cardboard backing cut to shape. Please sign the back of your doll. Send something you would love to get. If you don't want to part with it when it's done, that means you've done a good job so put it in the mail and feel good about yourself! No hanger needed. If the receiver wants one, they should put one on themselves. I store my dolls flat and don't want/need a hanger on most. Once in a while I will add a hanger, but not often. Go on now, get busy - think SPRING! |
