I love using postage stamps on ATC's and I have made some inchies with them, so why not make a swap with inchies using postage stamps?! For this swap, you will make 4 inchies for each of 2 partners--8 inchies total. The only rule is that you have to use at least one real postage stamp on each inchie. Take an artistic approach to it---please don't just stick a stamp on it and call it done; you can use stamps as your background (so you can glue or stick the stamps on cardstock, then cut or punch them out), create a decorative background for your stamp, follow a color scheme, use embellishments to match the pictures on your stamp, etc. F.Y.I: an inchie is a miniature work of art. An inchie measures exactly one inch square; there are also rinchies which are one inch in diameter. Inchies can be made out of any material including paper and fabric, and can be hand-drawn, painted, collaged, stamped, sewn or use mixed media. If you think they are too small to make creatively, you're wrong! There are many itty-bitty things on the market that are perfect for making inchies: thin ribbons, tiny brads, stick-on rhinestones, little rubber stamps, etc. They are totally addicting! I am only allowing those with a rating of 5 or more into this swap.... |
