Description:

For this swap, you will send your parnter a nice, personal letter. Please read your partner's profile so you can talk about something you might have in common or ask a question or two. Introduce yourself and try to establish that nice connection that makes penpalling so much fun. Letters should to be at least 2 pages long.

If you must type your letters, please make sure they are personal and not a generic form letter that just lists facts about you.

Along with the letter, send a favorite recipe, handwritten on a recipe card. You can find a lot of nice recipe cards to print out online or in Microsoft Word. This should be one of your favorite recipes, whether its a main dish, a side dish, a dessert, or baked goods.

If you receive a nice, personal letter more than 2 pages long and a recipe on a nice card, please rate a 5!

I went loking to buy recipe cards yesterday as my printer isn't the greatest couldn't find them anywhere!

I use index cards for recipe cards, is that alright?

The idea is to have something pretty to put in your recipe box, so if you can do that with an index card, ok. But just a blank index card with a recipe on it isn't enough for the swap

Kraftykj, if you have a Michael's or an AC Moore near you...they sell really nice ones and usually for $1 for pack of 10 or so.

Oh you people in USA are SO lucky! The only recipe cards I have ever found are on line, kinda expensive (more than $1 for just 1!) and were glossy-coated making them difficult to write on!! I have to do the decorated index card thing.

KittyBoo, you are my swap partner. I will send you some blank cards. I am planning on mailing my swap tomorrow. Hope that helps. :)
