Once upon a time...starts your story and these dice will help to fill in the blanks! Roll the dice to see which characters will show up in your story and which magical beast they will encounter. Use them to set the scene and supply your characters with magical swords or enchanted toadstools.

For this swap you will send:

  • At least two wooden 1 1/2" to 2" dice on which you have drawn, stamped, burned or painted possible characters, scenes, object, etc. Each side of the die should have one design and should be in the spirit of the group theme of classic fairy tales. I was able to find the plain wooden blocks on Amazon but they probably have them at craft stores as well.

  • One drawstring bag to hold the dice. This can be handmade or purchased.

  • One mini handmade or purchased and embellished journal for recording your stories.

The dice can be in a theme or be random ideas or inspirations, just use your imagination!

Find some great story dice inspiration here and here .

Here is a great tutorial on how to make a mini journal.

I ordered some 1 1/2" blocks and they are huge! So 2" blocks may be a little too big.... I don't know what I was thinking. I may edit swap to include 1" to 1 1/2" blocks.
