Such a little thing To be included in my pocket Waiting to be shared To you and you and you! Poem in Your Pocket Day was created in 2002. Basically, you put a poem in your pocket, and carry it around all day to read and share with yourself or others. This year it will be celebrated on Thursday, April 14, 2011! For this swap, you will send a poem, HAW related of course, to your partner. The poem can be an original piece, one from a children's poet, if there is one in a novel you've read from picture book on up to young adult, that works too. Maybe you have one you've treasured from childhood that you want to share. Make it pocket size for your partner. Include a note with the poem to explain why you chose it. On Poem in Your Pocket Day, proudly walk around with the poem! Send by date will be April 1st to (hopefully) allow poems time to reach their destination. The swap does not need to be profile specific, so feel free to have your poem all ready to send out. If you have any questions, or if I did not cover something well enough please let me know :D I included the home page for PIYP Day in the Swap Homepage if you want to read up more on it. |
