Description:

Hi Ya'll, this is a swap for scrap tiny paper pieces. They must be holiday paper, embelishing paper, card stock,no magazine cut outs please. Update:Holdays meaning just that, Christmas, Easter, New Years, shiny silver shiny gold, pearl, etc. You need to look at people's profile to see which holiday's they like. If You don't want a specific holiday please post that information in the chat area. It's any holiday, it's like getting a surprise but if you don't want a specific religous holiday than that is your responsiblity to say so. Rules are as follows

3partners

you MUST Fill a #10 business envelope (legal size paper would fit into 4 inch x 9 1/2 inch) The pieces MUST be anywhere from 1x1 inches up to 3x3 inches as long as they fit in the envelope without being folded. Now you can send 1x3 or 2x2's or 2x3's etc. As long as they are no smaller than 1x1. I am looking to help those out with Sizzix and Cuttlebugs and people who love to play with new paper, some they've never seen.
I was in a swap like this and MAN O MAN I was suprised. I still like playing through my little papers. You must have a 4.8 or higher, newbies must have a complete profile and atleast 2 completed swaps per snail mail not internet mail. Anywone with no sends will need to contact me and explain. I have a no send myself, sent out twice to this person and still he refuses so what do you do. And remember WORK FOR HEARTS everyone loves extras.
Extras like acid free pen, stickers, acid free rolling tape, some premade die cuts. Remember think Hollidays and as long as it fits in a #10 envelope. And hey if you want to really blow your partner away go bigger lol. You can garentee mine will be bigger.
Have Fun And yes this is INTERNATIONAL Y because they have some of the neatest paper lol I know my partner came from Sweeden. If you have any ? feel free to email me. Oh just think, all the things you can make, scrap booking, die cutters, embellishers, on and on.

I would like to join but can you please tell me the size of a #10 envelope. Im in Australia and so Im not sure. Thanks Jen:)

Nathalie 10/23/2007 #

Is this holiday themed? Because you mentioned 'think holidays'?

mommie2angels 10/23/2007 #

regular business envy is marked as 4 1/3" x 9 1/2"

Holidays I'm assuming Christmas/Hanakuh/Kawanza? Then papers that are red/green/gold/silver, blue/white/silver, and black/red/green.

HOST please correct us if this is incorrect. I'd love to join, but need clarification as well

Craftlover10101 10/23/2007 #

Hi Everyone, I hope the update above helps. Again if someone is not interested in a specific holiday or religous holiday please feel free to let everyone know here on the comment section. I want everyone to be happy! I on the other hand am not into /Hanakuh/Kawanza BUT that doesn't mean that I don't know those who are. I have a wide variety of friends, as I am sure many of you do too so for me it doesn't matter what I get. I love stash, and if it's not something I would normally buy and I get it from someone else that just makes my stash better lol. But this swap is made to be about holidays so you can send solid's but make sure those solids have embossing of a holiday, unless it's a glitter, or shiny nice you know. But things like easter egg, basket, xmas tree, snowman, fall leaves, dreidel, menorah's, hearts, fourleaf clovers, etc. If you have any more ?'s just ask I will try to answer best I can.

mommie2angels 10/24/2007 #

Thanks for clarifying. That makes a lot more papers available for this swap. I have some sheets that I know I won't use and will just cut them down to fit into a #10 envy for this swap:)

Craftlover10101 10/24/2007 #

oh goodie mommy lol have fun with it k

OrigamiGrace 10/26/2007 #

Can we send gift wrap scraps?

Craftlover10101 10/26/2007 #

Hi OrigamiGrace, I guess I would say it should be mostly cardstock type of paper. But I'm sure you could ask your partner if they would like that too. I never thought of gift wrap. Is it acid free? You can cut anything just about now with the Big Sizzix but from what I know those who use them use mostly acid free papers. So I would say yes if your partners would like some or add them for hearts.
If I'm your partner I'd love some lol and if you are mine than I'll make sure to add some to yours. I personally think it's a great idea. I just don't want to change the swap because there are already 10 signers. People get upset when you change it up and leave. And with 3 swap partners we need everyone we can get lol.
I hope I've answered your ? well enough.

Craftlover10101 10/27/2007 #

Hi Everyone, I can not stress this enough. I will NOT allow anyone who does not meet the ratings rules listed in the swap. It is not fare to those who participate, and put a great deal of care, effort and thought into their swaps. I have been burned enough as I am sure other's have too.
So if you are thinking of signing up and you will not meet this criteria by the time I assign partners you will be banned.

robayre 10/29/2007 #

Hello Everyone, I just wanted to say that holiday paper is not important to me. Any kind of paper is fine, as long as it is patterned...meaning I'd prefer paper with designwork or design over a paper with a single image. I also don't mind scraps, torn edges and papers cut odd shapes as long as what is left has interesting patterning on it.

Craftlover10101 10/31/2007 #

Tonights the last night to sign up so if you know anyone send them this way. BTW Happy Halloween

blueackerson 11/ 1/2007 #

Hi Partner's, I too don't mind papers that are not holiday themed. I make inchies so any tiny all over papers are good just no solids. Thanks Rosalie

blueackerson 11/ 2/2007 #

Hi All Sent mine out today.

twobluecrows 11/ 5/2007 #

I'm also good with no holiday themed papers! I hope I'm not too late saying this to my partners! I like anything else, especially anything sparkly, shiny, blue and silver, solids are fine!--though, I love all colors and like textured stuff too.

I will be able to make use of whatever I get so don't worry!

I know that some of you made note that it did not matter what type of paper you received. But I made the swap for Holiday paper, embelishing paper etc. What you wanted is fine but made the swap for holiday paper to help not just myself but other's out in the holiday/embelishment area. I received a swap that had absolutely no holiday paper. There were a couple pieces that can be construde as such and that's fine. But the majority of it was nothing near Holiday. I'm sorry I don't want to sound rude and I'm not trying to be. I know we can't please everyone in this world but it's a very simple swap. I guess it's more or less that my feelings are a little stung. Oh well, I'm still working on my envelopes and probably will up until the final day. I'm sorry but I had to say something. I will not rate this person poorly, it was sent and received on time.

Craftlover10101 11/ 9/2007 #

Mine are on their way. I stopped at the post office when I picked up the twins from school.

twobluecrows 11/11/2007 #

Craftlover10101 I had to double check that I wasn't one of your partners, because I was one to send no real specific holiday papers in my packages. I just wrote to all my partners telling them that if they aren't happy with what I sent, I will replace it with more holiday themed papers. I did make a serious effort to fill my envies with the most interesting papers I have, and feel bad that I misread the theme of the swap, but I hope the papers I sent will be useful enough for any holiday theme--there were every color, shiny, textured and a mixture of solids and patterns. I'll be more careful in reading the description next time.

Sorry, I am sometimes one of those last minute people, mine are going out today. Also, I got a "reminder" from Craftlover, that I didn't read the instuctions as well as I should have, so I went back and made sure I included more holiday papers. Sorry!

Craftlover10101 11/13/2007 #

Hi jmlnanners, thanks I will make sure next time that I put it up in the title too. :-)

Craftlover10101 11/15/2007 #

I received Katrina's yesterday all the way from Ausi land. It was wonderful thank you. All kinds of different papers and lots of holiday papets. Ribbon, stickers, pencil and sequins xmas trees. Thanks Katrina! I have to see a surgeon today so I won't be around much but I hope to see alot of happy people post on their packages. It's not a requirement but it would be fun to hear about them. I'm in another for die cutting pieces, if you have a die cutter go here http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/9145 it starts on the 20th. But looks like a lot of fun. I think I'll be getting out my embossing stuff for that one and have some fun with the embossing pieces I'll send as extras. Ok have a good day

Craftlover10101 11/15/2007 #

Who here wants to be in a quick Holiday wrapping paper swap? If you have other paper for wrapping that's fine but this will be a Holiday swap the extra's can be sent as extras.
The holiday wrap will consist of all holidays including happy birthday paper. And Nice stuff too no pieces that you can see have been folded from used paper recieved. ?????

Craftlover10101 11/15/2007 #
