Description:

This swap was one another member and I thought would be a fun swap to do. For this swap, everyone is going to create their own doll using the template listed below.

You should follow the directions for downloading and printing so everyone's doll is exactly the same size of the one inch head. The site's owner gives detailed instructions for downloading and printing, so refer to those instructions and everyone make their doll with the head at approximately one inch as she says.

Here's where the fun starts! When you make your doll, print out and put together an extra one to use as a template for making clothes. (You don't want to use your doll as it will get worn from the tracing process of using it for a clothing template.) Then, every two weeks, we will post a swap for different articles of clothing for your doll. We will continue this swap so everyone who enters can complete a wardrobe for their own doll.

The good thing about this swap is that it is going to be a cheap postage swap. You can sign up for as many or as few pieces of clothing as you want for this doll. You never send your doll out - you just collect outfits for your doll. For the first swap we made undies for our doll. Now on to the outerwear!

DOLL TEMPLATE

Nuts and bolts: This second swap is to create a Masquerade Ball gown with mask for the doll.

Make some kind of fasteners for the ball gown - it can tie on with ribbons or have tabs. The mask can have feathers and even hair…think Marie Antoinette!

The clothing can be made entirely of cardstock or it can be a mixture of fabric and paper. Whatever you make it out of, please try to make it so that it is not really flimsy and easily torn.

This should be a well-made item. Make something you would like to receive. Pretty and fancy, of course! Do NOT send your doll.

The send-by date is a swap requirement, so if you do not have time to send this out on or before the send-by date, please do not be disappointed if you are rated down.

If you flake, please expect to see your name on the flakers’ wall of shame!
