This public swap is aimed at promoting my newly formed group: Shinto Swapping. Ah...shameless self-promotion. =D "We order you, He-Fox, to serve at the Upper Temple. We give you the name of Osusuki. And you, She-Fox, shall serve at the Lower Temple. We give you the name of Akomachi." Once upon a time a fox couple and their cubs took shelter from a thunder and lightning storm at a dark shrine. The male fox prayed to the kami of the shrine, asking permission to stay the night. The kami, Inari, replied right away. Yes, they were welcome to stay, indefinitely in fact, if they and their children would take up the task of messenger. The foxes were happy to accept this commission, and to this day male and female fox couples can be found at any Inari shrine. In this swap we will be focusing on zenko (good foxes) and their role as messenger for Oinari-sama. On the usual 2.5X3.5 heavy paper you will create an image of these haunting beautiful creatures and their eternal task. Create with all of your skill! Your partner will be doing no less! Fine print. While it’s true this is a promotional swap, that doesn’t mean I’m not still gatekeeper. Swappers in good standing, as determined by me, will be permitted to join. If you have any questions, comments or complaints, PM me. |
